Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 30, 2026

Thank you for using ReDD Blocker. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our application.

1. Information Collection and Use

ReDD Blocker does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or usage information to us or any third parties.

The application is designed to operate entirely locally on your device. All data you enter into ReDD Blocker (such as blocklists and settings) remains on your local machine.

2. System Permissions

ReDD Blocker operates entirely locally. It does not collect or transmit your data off your device.

macOS (desktop): Website blocking for Safari, Chrome, Brave, and Edge uses Apple's Automation permission (Apple Events) so ReDD Blocker can redirect blocked tabs — you grant this per browser in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation. Firefox on macOS uses the separate ReDD Focus browser extension. App blocking runs in-process and may show system permission prompts as needed. If you upgrade from ReDD Blocker 1.x, the app may ask for your administrator password once to remove legacy helper-daemon and hosts-file entries; normal use does not modify the hosts file.

Windows (desktop): Website blocking uses the ReDD Focus browser extension and a local native-messaging connection to the ReDD Blocker app (no separate daemon). The app may register extension-related entries in your user profile. App blocking runs in-process.

iOS: ReDD Blocker uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls and ManagedSettings) to block websites and apps you select. You must grant Screen Time authorization in the app.

3. Data Storage

All data created or processed by ReDD Blocker is stored locally on your device. You have full control over this data.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
